If you are looking to attract more customers, what are you doing about it? Are you consistently pushing to get more or are you half heartedly trying now and again.
Set aside some time each day and contact people who may be able to use your services or products. Keep doing this daily. It will take time and effort to get there, if it was easy everyone would be doing it.
Keep your sales patter simple. You want to wheedle out those that are not interested as soon as possible.
ie. One company we promote is an electrical engineering company. When we cold call/email we simply ask are they looking for an electrical engineering company in the near future. If they are not, there is literally no point in pursuing the conversation.
We only want to offer our services to thost that would use and appreciate them.
It is an easy way to get more clients and most people really appreciate the direct waffle free approach. You save your time and your clients.
If they say yes ask them what they are looking for and if you feel you can help them out then introduce who you are and what you do.
Ask them to meet for coffee or at least if you can send them some info. Always listen to what they want though and don't try and sell anything. You will be far more effective by helping them with their issues than you would be trying to sell them anything.
They will be more appreciative of you helping them than they would be you selling them anything.
