So many people don't realise that you can in fact reject any invoice that comes your way. If I was to send you an invoice for £1,000 would you pay it, if so email me at sales@top-bannana.com and I will send you one with details on where to pay. Any sane person would reject it, probably return it to me. Just because I say you owe me something doesn't actually mean you do. It is the same with council tax, this simple rebuttal, covers it all. Return it to their accounts department with the invoice.Write on the invoice REJECTED in red pen or buy a stamp if you want it to look more professional.
