This notification is to formally demand that you cease and desist all attempts to contact me regarding the alleged council tax debt referenced as above.
Your company has failed to provide verifiable proof that:
- You have a legal right to pursue this debt.
- A valid Deed of Assignment exists between [Council Name] and [Debt Collectors Name]
- There is a legally binding contract between myself and your company.
Under UK law, debt collection agencies must adhere to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, as well as the Administration of Justice Act 1970.
Until you provide the legally required documentation proving your authority to collect, I do not acknowledge this alleged debt.
Any further harassment from your company will result in formal complaints to the FCA, the Financial Ombudsman, and Trading Standards.
