Does no-one find it strange that skin cancer rates have risen along with sales of sun creams? They reckon it is because people go on holiday more and use sun beds. Well most people don't use sunbeds any more and yes more people do go on holiday but majority are now very careful not to get tanned. So why the increase. Is it because sun screen itself is causing it? My dad died at 93, he went on lots of holidays and lived for a few years in Sri Lanka in the 40's and 7 years in spain. Zero skin cancer. My mum is a sun worshipper she is now 79, she looks about 50. She has amazing skin and no skin cancer, she lived in Spain for 7 years.
Do people really not put two and two together? If the sun caused skin cancer then every person that was exposed to the sun during their lifetime, (farmers, builders, gardeners, anyone that works outside) would be dead when they reach the age. There would be no-one alive past the age skin cancer started. Men have travelled long before holidays were introduced. People lived in hot countries long before sun cream was around. The sun is the healer not the harmer. Don't burn of course, but then why would anyone want to do that. If you are prone to burning then simply cover up with lightweight light coloured clothes.
